Who I am
Nejc Šimnovec
Kranj, Slovenia · Automotive writer & former car salesman
I’m Nejc — a car enthusiast, writer, and automotive thinker with a lifelong passion for everything on four wheels. I don’t just see cars as a way to get from A to B, but as a blend of engineering, design, innovation, and lifestyle.
My journey into the automotive world started long before this blog. I spent years selling cars across multiple brands — which gave me a perspective most automotive writers simply don’t have: I know how dealerships work, what salespeople don’t tell you, and what actually matters when you’re choosing a car.
Over the years I’ve explored different sides of car culture — from classic and performance vehicles to modern hybrids, electric cars, and emerging mobility technologies. My particular focus is used cars and Japanese vehicles.
I’m fascinated by:

Editorial values
CarGeekTalk isn’t here to blindly follow trends or repeat marketing slogans. Here’s what every article is held to:
Hands-on experience first
Every opinion comes from someone who has actually sold cars, owned cars, and spent years thinking about them — not someone summarising press releases.
No paid opinions
Sponsored content is clearly labelled. Editorial content is never influenced by advertisers or brand relationships.
Accessible to everyone
Whether you’re buying your first car or your fifteenth, the content is written to be useful — not to show off technical vocabulary.
Genuine enthusiasm
This isn’t a content farm. It’s a blog run by someone who genuinely loves cars and has done so since childhood.
CarGeekTalk works with boutique car brands as a monthly content partner, and is open to relevant sponsored content and editorial partnerships.
